Far Cry 6 Beginner Guide

Learn the essentials for scouting enemies, upgrading weapons and moving around Yara. Follow these early priorities to save materials and unlock useful travel options.

    Scout enemy positions with your phone before attacking. Blue eye symbols mark useful observation points, while other blue markings identify guerrilla routes and supplies.

  2. 2

    Spend scarce gunpowder on weapon mods you actually need. A crafted mod becomes available to other compatible weapons in the same class.

  3. 3

    Scan empty civilian cars and bikes with your phone to add them to your vehicle collection. Military vehicles cannot be collected by scanning.

  4. 4

    After unlocking construction at a mainland guerrilla camp, build the Hideout Network for 30 Metal and 30 Gasoline to obtain the wingsuit.

Far Cry 6 Amigos and Unlock Locations

Find the quests and locations needed to recruit the five base-game Amigos. Compare their roles in distraction, stealth, direct combat and resource collection.

  • Guapo

    Recruit Guapo during Juan of a Kind. His regeneration and self-revival abilities support direct combat.

  • Chorizo

    At Montero Farm, complete Who's a Good Boy? and Fetch Quest to recruit this companion, whose distractions create opportunities for stealth.

  • Chicharron

    Complete the Yaran Story chain beginning with Man's Best Enemy in Sierra Perdida, El Este, to recruit this aggressive combat rooster.

  • Boom Boom

    Complete Boom or Bust by finding him in a shipping container in Feroza, Valle de Oro. He collects resources from fallen enemies.

  • Oluso

    Complete Triada Blessings and its final encounter at Oluwa Cave to recruit this stealth-focused panther.

Far Cry 6 Co-op and Multiplayer Guide

Learn when online co-op becomes available and how to invite a friend. Check player limits, local multiplayer restrictions and access to Special Operations before starting a session.

  • 2-Player Online Co-op

    Explore Yara and play campaign missions with one online partner. Sessions do not support three- or four-player squads.

  • Unlock and Invite

    Complete Du or Die, then use the co-op icon in the pause menu to invite a friend or search for a partner.

  • No Split-Screen

    Co-op is online only. There is no local couch co-op or split-screen mode.

  • Special Operations

    Visit Lola at a major guerrilla camp to access Special Operations. These missions award Moneda, which can be spent at the Black Market.

Far Cry 6 Treasure Hunts and Puzzle Solutions

Find treasure hunt locations, puzzle requirements and their weapon or equipment rewards. Start with useful unlocks and the Triada relic chain, including the nighttime restriction at Fort Oro.

  • A Little Birdie Told Me

    Follow the pelican through Sierra Perdida, El Este, and finish the treasure hunt to unlock the AR-C rifle.

  • Passing the Torch

    Restore power to the locked hut in Sierra Perdida to collect the SPAS-12 shotgun and Fifteen Wishes wrist gear.

  • Oku's Triada Relic

    Enter Fort Oro in Cruz del Salvador at night, solve its haunted-house puzzles and descend into the well to recover the relic.

  • Triada Blessings

    Return Ida's, Oku's and Mimo Abosi's relics to Oluwa Cave. The opened chamber contains Triador and La Varita, followed by the encounter needed to recruit Oluso.

Far Cry 6 Supremos and Resolver Weapons

Compare Supremo backpack abilities with the special functions of Resolver weapons. Learn where to collect depleted uranium and which equipment requires completing Triada Blessings.

  • Exterminador

    Juan's introductory Supremo launches a barrage of homing missiles, giving you an early option against dangerous targets.

  • Furioso

    This Supremo creates a ring of fire and grants an aerial dash for mobility.

  • Triador and La Varita

    Earn both through Triada Blessings. While Triador's ability is active, La Varita can shoot enemies through solid obstacles.

  • El Muro

    This close-range Resolver weapon pairs a shotgun with a shield for frontal engagements.

  • Depleted Uranium

    Loot marked containers at anti-aircraft sites and spend the uranium at Juan's shop. Additional Supremo and Resolver purchases unlock as your rank increases.

Far Cry 6 Best Gear and Builds

Compare equipment combinations for stealth, poison damage and survivability. Build around individual gear effects rather than assuming that a matching outfit provides a set bonus.

  • Stealth Setup

    Combine Dark Tech Boots for faster crouched movement with Oluwa's Heart for reduced movement noise.

  • Blast and Fire Protection

    Impact Vest reduces blast damage, while Fuego Mitts automatically extinguish flames on Dani. The mitts do not grant complete fire immunity.

  • Poison Damage Setup

    Hazmat Gloves MK II increase damage against poisoned enemies. Pair them with El Besito or poison grenades to activate that benefit.

  • Vehicle Support

    Scrounger Jeans automatically repair the vehicle you occupy, making them useful for vehicle-focused travel and combat.

Far Cry 6 New Game Plus Guide

Restart the campaign with eligible equipment while checking what resets and what carries over. Follow the save requirements and Veteran's Stash unlock sequence before planning another playthrough.

    Finish the main campaign and make that completed save your most recently played save. Keep an empty save slot available for New Game Plus.

  2. 2

    Select New Game Plus from the main menu and choose your character and difficulty. Missions, treasure hunts and military installations reset.

  3. 3

    Complete The Lucky One, then open the Veteran's Stash at Clara's Camp to recover eligible weapons, attachments and Supremo equipment.

  4. 4

    Complete Fuel the Revolution to regain access to carried-over Rides and their upgrades.

  5. 5

    Collect currencies and crafting resources again. Uranium, pesos, Moneda, Resolver materials and camp resources do not carry over.

Yes. The campaign supports two-player online co-op after you finish the mission Du or Die, and both players keep their own progress. There is no split-screen or local co-op.
